What would you guys think about having the first rounds being in Wichita and would it be successful because I am watching the first round on ESPNU in Bridgeport and there looks like maybe 2000-3000 people.

I would love to see that happen now whether it happens or not I don't know but I would skip school/work to go watch

I think that right there would be the problem. I don't think enough people would skip school/work to go, especially when there isn't any personal investment in it. If Wichita State had a team and they were in it, then sure, TONS of people would be there. But with no local teams, I think it would be hard to draw enough attendance (at least on a weekday).

well the frozon four finals are in Tampa Bay, Florida that is the complete oppisite end of the country so I was wondering why we coundn't do cuz we could probably get 2000-3000 that I saw at the Union vs. Mich. St. game in Bridgeport yes I know thats in hockey land but I think we could get that many.

Plus I see a lot of North Dakota Souix jerseys at the thunder games so I would think if the North dakota came that would also help

I think doing all the games here only makes sense. We are centrally located, so either coast doesn't have to complain how far they have to travel. But what do I know?

I would go!!!!!!!!!!! I'd hope it's the Sioux, but to see that many NHL drafted players on the ice competing for a championship, why wouldn't any true hockey fan miss it?

It will never happen because you have to have a host school to put it on and the closest school with an NCAA Hockey Team is at least 12 hours away.

Wichita State has a club team??

Were you also one that thought the Coliseum was "way out there!"?? sarcasm.gif sarcasm.gif Omaha is 5 hours tops and has a very good team. Now if you wanna see even better college hockey you are looking at about a ten+ hour drive. But Omaha would be a short fun trip to see some games.

Uh... no... I'm saying that they're too far away to host an NCAA Regional in Wichita.
