Can't take down what doesn't exist. Never been a worst fans banner now a most annoying fans banner yes. So its a wonder folks even noticed it was missing since they didnt even know what it said or was for.

Stupid people piss me off!! However that is job security!!!

I was looking at the banners last night before the game and thought it looked weird, couldnt figure out which one was missing. Wonder why they took it down? Its just another award given out by the league, guess they should talk them all down then.

Which reminds me, big stick tap to the red jacketed usher hero that bravely stopped the shenanigans by the Rio bench during the third period, dodging fans that were standing and maneuvering through the aisles while pucks were in play, armed only with a paper stop sign. I always thought the most annoying fans banner was more a symbol of our streak than anything. Without the streak it's just a poll we won several times and we're just a bad as Missouri hanging their "best fans" banner because they have nothing else.

Good idea. Don't want anyone to look up and see that then think they have to do something to uphold the tradition like...I don't know....rip on some guy about his dead brother. sarcasm.gif

If only simple solutions could fix stupidity.

They were making room for the Berry Conference banner and the Governor's Cup banner. Process of elimination people, it's a wonderful tool.

Considering this "red jacketed hero" went down there when the dumb A** was bashing on Boogard about his dead brother, I have no problems with him going down there when he did. I wish he would have thrown Helmet Boy into the Rio bench though.

I told everyone that helmet boy and his handicapable posse were pitiful the other day and no one agreed! A little heckling adds a lot to the experience, but those punks aren't funny and try way too hard. I've known a couple people who went to games and decided not to come back because of those annoying guys! 1 bad apple ruins the whole bunch.

I love helmet boy! He makes the games really funny I think. I don't think he takes it too far (then again I never have heard him over by the visiting bench). I have sat behind some fans who heckled Tulsa fans to the point that they should have been detained by security. They were classless. But helmet boy is decent I think. If occasionally long winded with his sayings.

When you pull on that jersey, you represent yourself, and your teammates. And the name on the front on the jersey is a hell of a lot more important than the one on the back!

I have never minded him either, alot of people around me can't stand him, however, with that being said, if he did say those things to Boogard and about Boogards brother, than I would like nothing more than to see him banned from the Thunder hockey games. That is way to far, I don't care how funny he is "most of the time" or anything else, once is too far, but to do it at back to back games to Boogard is just stupid, childish, and so many other words that I can't say on here.

The players can't hear what he says so I don't see the point of him yelling the entire game. I'm a few sections over and I can't understand a word he's saying. He's just making a lot of noise.

I was literally about 5 ft away from "Helmet Boy" if you will. I didnt hear him say anything about Boogards brother, but then again I was watching the game. Regardless he needs to stay where he pays to sit. We have enough hecklers in our section and we don't need anymore. The "hecklers" that everyone knows in 116 and 117 are good at it and keeps it some what clean and respectable. I have no problem with those guys. But "helmet boy" and his buddy were down there for about 5 minutes and were already getting out of line apparently. No room for that crap in any sport. In my opinion every contact sport is a gentlemen sport. A handshake and class go far. I know that our players wouldn't want any of us talking like that to their opponents. I am ashamed that a lot of people think all Thunder fans are like that. I rarely say anything to the players coming on and off the ice and believe me I have a better opportunity than anyone in the arena. If I do and I get a rise out of a player. I usually tell them after the game that its all out fun and have a conversation with them. They know that they are gonna get crap from us fans, but when it comes down to it, they know we are there to have a good time and see our guys win. Im starting to ramble, but I just thought I might let you guys know I didnt hear anything about Boogards brother being said. I usually dont pay attention to drunk idiots who mosey on down to the benches from their seats that are nowhere near there.

Well shoot I was hoping it wasn't him saying that Boogaard.

+1. I never heard him say anything bad or THAT bad, before. I sat at the top of 116 the night of that game, and heard em yelling but i couldn't make out what he said. I never minded 'em, most of the stuff he says is quite amusing, although they can't hear it. If he DID say something about Boogaards brother, that guy is #1 on the **** list.. That's not something you bring up, and obviously Boogaard heard it, as well as most of the other players on the Rio bench.. That's so bottom of the line classless that he needs to not be able to come back. Thats lower than low, to bring up someone's dead relative like that. Man.. I'm gonna stop that rant here, before i get banned for foul language lol.

We sit right by him and before his bench visit he yelled " Hey Leavold Why don't you sniff a line while your on the bench that will get you going". I thought it was pretty trashy. He has a funny comment about once every 3rd game.

First and foremost, thank you to those of you who stood up for Helmet Boy. You know the true person.
I can see how easily an out of control group can form that thinks they are the judge, the jury and the executioner. Without any firm facts there are certain people on this forum who think that they know all the facts and believe that libel on the forum is as right as the accusations that they made. Not one time have I read that anyone heard Helmet Boy make the statement he is accused of on this forum. It is all hearsay and lies.
Those that have made the accusations think Helmet Boy should be ban from the arena. I think those that made these statements should be ban from the forum. I know the facts. I know what was said by whom and where and when.

Teehee, kinda sounds like we should be having a telethon for him.

Here are some facts: he was over by the bees bench, he did get poked, the usher did escort him and his friend to their seats and sat with them, they did have an officer posted from that point on behind the visitor bench and he told the police after the game he was poked by the other players.

Any light you'd like to shed on the shady details are most welcome.

Most of what I've seen has been if he was the one who made the comments he should be banned. Most of us have repeatedly said we don't know who said it, but it was unacceptable whoever it was. The rumor came out that it was "Helmet Boy" and I saw multiple versions of "I didn't hear it, but if he said it he should be punished". We've also heard it was his friend, in which case it should be his friend who should be punished. No one is saying he should be banned from the arena if he didn't do it. Since you imply that you know who did make the comments and are obviously a friend/relative of either "Helmet Boy" or part of his posse, then maybe you should take it upon yourself to inform the responsible party of the error of their actions. And if the Thunder management feels the same way this forum does about punishing that persons actions than you should probably provide them with you "information" so they can take the necessary actions.
