Hmmm interesting move... I wonder if this means coach doesn't think Davis will be healthy for the next round or if he just thinks the kid can help us even more. look forward to seeing him play.

If your talking about the amateur, don't hold your breath on seeing him play Friday. Would be nice to see Davis back in the lineup though, especially since he was a game time decision Saturday night. |

I'm not surprised at all to see an amatuer brought in. It gives coach another body to rotate in, plus he sounds like a tough, gritty player that Mac likes.
I don't know much about the BCHL (I'm assuming junior "A" is the step right below the Canadian HL?) but looking at their website it looks like Cowichan Valley has several alums in the CHL: Boron, Boucher, Jung, Gendur, Hood, and Perdicaro all played there at some point. |

This is very interesting and I, too, would like to see what he's got in one of the upcoming home games. Another thing I'm kinda curious about is we now have twice as many forwards as we do D-men, is that normal?

Yes, it's not uncommon to have 3 defensive pairs and 11-12 forwards with a couple of guys who rotate in on the 3rd line. Lizon will get minimal ice time unless needed and we have a couple of forwards who could in a pinch play a few shifts on defense. |

Te only time it shows anyhing different is when (for example) The AHL sends a player down for a few games, point streak show 3 or 5 game contract. Which obviously can not be done in the playoffs. I sent an email to Matt's coach and this is what he had to say:
"Matt is a great player at our level and having picked him up from the QMJHL (Quebec Remparts), I think he will be a very nice fit for your team. Matt skates well and has a great shot that was hard to stop for goalies in our league. The best part about Matt is that he is a tremendous young man and it will not take long for fans to see that he is a small town kid that loves to play." GO THUNDER!!!
